New Tata Tiago EV Arrives in Nepal Ahead of Launch: What’s New?
Tata Motors Nepal is set to introduce the updated Tata Tiago EV in Nepal during the upcoming NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.
The new Tiago EV will join the updated Punch EV as one of Tata Motors’ key electric vehicle offerings for Nepal, further strengthening the brand’s presence in the country’s growing EV market.
The refreshed electric hatchback arrives with a redesigned exterior, upgraded cabin, improved safety features and enhanced charging capability, while continuing with the existing battery pack options.
The current Tata Tiago EV is available in Nepal in two variants, priced at Rs 27.49 lakh and Rs 29.99 lakh, respectively. Both variants come equipped with a 24 kWh battery pack, while the updated version is expected to continue with the same battery options, along with several design, technology and feature upgrades.
In the Indian market, the new Tiago EV continues with two battery pack options — 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. The smaller battery version produces 61 hp and 110 Nm of torque, while the larger battery variant delivers 75 hp and 114 Nm of torque.
The 24 kWh battery version offers an MIDC-certified range of up to 285 km, while the 19.2 kWh version provides up to 226 km. Tata claims a real-world C75 range of around 160-170 km for the smaller battery and 205-215 km for the larger battery pack.
The new Tiago EV receives a refreshed exterior design inspired by Tata’s latest EV styling language. At the front, it features redesigned LED headlamps, new LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and a closed-off body-coloured grille. The front bumper has also been redesigned with new styling elements, giving the hatchback a more modern appearance.
The updated model gets newly designed 14-inch wheels with contrasting wheel-arch cladding, while the rear profile features connected LED tail lamps and a revised bumper design. Other exterior highlights include a dual-tone black roof, shark-fin antenna and chrome-finished door handles.
Inside the cabin, the Tiago EV receives a major update with a redesigned dual-tone dashboard layout. The electric hatchback now features a free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a part-digital TFT instrument cluster.
Tata has upgraded the Tiago EV’s electronic architecture, adding improved connectivity and new convenience features such as connected car technology, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, cruise control and a rotary drive selector.
Safety has also been enhanced with six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera with blind-view monitoring, and additional safety technologies. Automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and follow-me-home headlamps are also available.
Charging performance has been improved as well. The updated Tiago EV now supports 30 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in around 35 minutes. Tata claims the improved charging system can add approximately 100 km of range in 18 minutes.
The electric hatchback continues to support 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW AC charging options. It also features four levels of regenerative braking and three driving modes — City, Sport and Drive.
With updated styling, a more premium interior, enhanced safety features and improved charging capability, the new Tata Tiago EV is expected to strengthen Tata Motors’ position in Nepal’s competitive electric vehicle segment.
